For the 2005 season the Arizona Diamondbacks would open at Bank One Ballpark on Monday April 4, 2005 against the Chicago Cubs. Interleague play featured teams from the American League Central with visits by the Minnesota Twins, Kansas City Royals, and Detroit Tigers. The Diamondbacks travelled to the Detroit Tigers, Chicago White Sox, and Cleveland Indians. The season ended with a 3-game series at AT&T Park with the San Francisco Giants on September 30 - October 2.
