Originally Bank One Ballpark, Chase Field has been the regular season and post season home of the Arizona Diamondbacks since 1998. Located in downtown Phoenix in Copper Square, it was one of the first retractable roof stadiums in Major League Baseball allowing games to be played outdoors in the cooler months and indoors during the Arizona summer. Tucson Electric Park became the Spring Training home for the Arizona Diamondbacks in 1998. It was built to be shared by the Diamondbacks and the Chicago White Sox. At the time there were three teams training in Tucson including the Colorado Rockies. When the White Sox left for Glendale it started a chain reaction with all Cactus League teams leaving after the 2010 season. In February 2011 the Arizona Diamondbacks and Colorado Rockies began playing at Salt River Fields at Talking Stick located on Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community (SRPMIC). This was the first Major League Baseball facility built on Indian land. Located in Scottsdale AZ, Salt River Fields has become a destination and is generally acknowledged as the premiere spring training facility.
